SolidCraft Download

Run SolidCraft in your browser

The official web build, loaded right here. No install, no account. Desktop browser with a mouse recommended.

Loads the free web build (a few MB). Your models stay in your browser.

Next: get the desktop app

We picked your system. Files come straight from the official GitHub release (always the latest version).

The installers are not code-signed yet, so Windows or macOS may warn you the first time. How to get past the warning.

SolidCraft is free and every installer comes from the project's GitHub releases page. Use the picker above: it detects your system and links to the latest release, so the link keeps working as new versions ship. The project releases very often (about 25 tags between 9 and 15 October 2026), so expect to update regularly. At the time of writing the newest version was v0.13.1, released on 15 October 2026.

Windows

File Use it for
solidcraft-windows-x64.msi Most PCs
solidcraft-windows-arm64.msi ARM laptops (Snapdragon)
solidcraft-windows-x86.msi Old 32-bit Windows
solidcraft-windows-x64-portable.zip No install: unzip and run

Prefer a package manager? Run:

winget install bherbruck.SolidCraft

"Windows protected your PC" warning: the installer is not signed yet, so SmartScreen stops it the first time. Click More info, then Run anyway.

macOS

Download solidcraft-macos-universal.dmg. It is one universal build for both Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Open the disk image and drag SolidCraft into Applications.

"Cannot be opened" or "unidentified developer" warning: the Mac app is ad-hoc signed and not notarized. Right-click (or Control-click) SolidCraft in Applications and choose Open, then confirm. You only need to do this once.

If you used the old name before, move SolveCraft.app to the Trash after installing.

The command-line tool for Mac comes as a separate file, solidcraft-cli-<version>-macos-universal.zip, on the release page. You need it for the MCP server.

Linux

SolidCraft has builds for x86_64 and ARM64 (aarch64):

sudo snap install solidcraft
sudo snap connect solidcraft:removable-media

The second line lets it read USB drives and other mounted disks. The command-line tool is available as solidcraft.cli.

flatpak remote-add --user --if-not-exists flathub https://dl.flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
flatpak remote-add --user --if-not-exists solidcraft https://bherbruck.github.io/solidcraft/flatpak/solidcraft.flatpakrepo
flatpak install --user solidcraft ai.storyteller.solidcraft
flatpak run ai.storyteller.solidcraft

There is also a FreeBSD x86_64 tarball on the release page.

No install: the browser version

If you can't install software, for example on a managed work laptop, use the web build. Launch it at the top of this page, or open it full screen. In the browser, Save writes to the browser's private storage, so use download/export to keep a real copy. FreeCAD and Rhino import and the built-in agent chat are desktop-only.

If SolidCraft won't start

Build from source

You need stable Rust 1.95 or newer:

git clone https://github.com/bherbruck/solidcraft
cd solidcraft
cargo run --release -p solidcraft -- --sample

Once it is installed, follow the SolidCraft tutorial to make your first part.

FAQ

Is the SolidCraft download safe?

The buttons on this page link straight to the official GitHub release, and each release includes a SHA256SUMS.txt file you can check against. The warnings you see come from the installers not being code-signed yet, not from anything inside them.

Which Windows file should I pick?

Most PCs need the x64 MSI installer. Pick the ARM64 MSI for Snapdragon or other ARM laptops, and the portable zip if you can't install software and just want to unzip and run it.

Does SolidCraft update itself?

The desktop app can update itself; the browser version always loads the newest web build. A snap installed from the store updates automatically, but a snap file you installed with --dangerous does not.

What are the system requirements?

SolidCraft needs a GPU driver for D3D12 or Vulkan on Windows, Metal on macOS, and Vulkan or OpenGL on Linux. Without one it falls back to a slow software renderer. The project does not list minimum OS versions.

I installed SolveCraft before. Do I need to do anything?

Install SolidCraft as normal. On a Mac, move the old SolveCraft.app to the Trash afterwards. Old .solvecraft files still open.
